One kind of magnesia brick is ordinary magnesia chrome brick

The sintered magnesia and fused magnesia with different MgO mass fraction (generally greater than 89%), together with refractory chrome ore, chrome concentrate, sintered or fused magnesia chrome sand with different Cr2O3 mass fraction (sometimes a small amount of chrome green is added), produce many varieties of magnesia chrome products.

Nowadays, the most popular varieties of commercial contacts include ordinary magnesia chrome bricks, directly bonded magnesia chrome bricks, re bonded (semi re bonded) magnesia chrome bricks and unburned magnesia chrome bricks.

1. Ordinary magnesia chrome brick:

Ordinary magnesia chrome bricks are generally produced with sintered magnesia (MgO content is 89%~92%) and refractory grade chrome ore as raw materials. Due to many impurities, the refractory grains are combined with silicate.

Generally speaking, the magnesia chrome brick in China refers to the fired ordinary magnesia chrome brick, also known as silicate bonded magnesia chrome brick, or magnesia chrome brick for short.

Ordinary magnesia chrome bricks have simple production process and low price, and are widely used in cement rotary kilns (Cr2O3 mass fraction rarely exceeds 14%), regenerators of glass kilns, steel making furnace linings, permanent layers of refining ladles, nonferrous metallurgy furnaces, lime kilns, mixer furnaces, refractory high-temperature furnace linings, etc.
