5) Cast magnesia chrome brick
The mixture of magnesia and chrome ore is completely melted in an electric arc furnace, and then the melt is poured into a refractory mold for casting. Stable periclase and spinel crystal phases are formed during solidification, and fine crystalline structure is formed at the same time. Therefore, fused cast magnesia chrome bricks have excellent high temperature strength and slag corrosion resistance.
Like fused magnesia chrome bricks and fused magnesia chrome materials, fused cast magnesia chrome bricks have a high degree of direct bonding and contain a large amount of spinel dissolved phase. This product has a high density, and the slag is not easy to penetrate, so the slag resistance is better than that of directly bonded bricks, but the thermal shock resistance is worse than the above two products. See Table 1 for the physical and chemical indexes of magnesia chrome bricks directly combined according to China Building Materials Industry Standard (JC/T497-96).
